For 'Other' I voted for Snipping Tool - invaluable to have it built in and not have to use 3rd party software as I did in XP - never used Vista :)
Read through the section 'Error occurs after Windows XP is already installed' in this KB article ..... You receive a "Stop 0x0000000A" error...
Please post the other logs requested here and try a fresh install of Malwarebytes. Our Malware Analyst will look at your logs as soon as possible.

Ahh - it's a dual boot system - that might explain why the Win 98 install is hanging. Generally speaking the older OS should be loaded first as...
Maybe malware at work? Doesn't explain why install hangs at detecting pnp devices though. You could try setting BIOS to defaults - long shot.
May be worth checking out the drive with the manufacturer's disk diagnostics - DOS version from a bootable CD .... Disk Diagnostic Software...
Format and a clean install may be your best bet.
Try re-installing Win 98 over itself.
