Some applications on your pc and or web sites won't function as expected or at all.
The more important question - are you or any of the programs you use - use the fonts? You could rename the fonts and see if anything dies/stops...

Best guess - you have two sets of DBX files... as in two Inbox.dbx ... You could probably import two times and have all mails from both identities...
