This is weird - nothing specific on Google aside of hardware issues with the keyboard. Could be worth running System File Checker - sfc /scannow

If indeed there is corruption I think I would go with the drives arranged as you want them initially. If no luck revert back to the original set up.

Back up only data files - you cannot copy the OS. If the general consensus is that the MBR is corrupted then I would follow the instructions...
