This is weird - nothing specific on Google aside of hardware issues with the keyboard. Could be worth running System File Checker - sfc /scannow

I've not used diskpart, but that command .... I would see no harm in doing that, but if the active partition has a Boot folder and Bootmgr file...

Back up only data files - you cannot copy the OS. If the general consensus is that the MBR is corrupted then I would follow the instructions...
