If you have a hard disk issue, you have to identify the bad hard disk, switch it with a new one & then rebuild/sync the array.
How about Using WD Quick Formatter to format external drives (Windows 7, Vista, XP) or Mac OSX (Leopard, Snow Leopard, or Lion) ?
