It sounds like a File Ownership problem.... Since you copied it probably to a non important folder - "You" own the file.

Running Malwarebytes manually from time to time is something to consider.
Sounds like she putting the files on a SHARED folder. Have her try a folder under Documents or MY FILES to see if that helps.
