I am in doubt, I'd like to know what they are though. I've seen other queries about this on the web, but no answers what they are and what they do.

Pete, Ive right click the cd drive in explorer, then properties, and there are 3 tabs, General, Autoplay and Hardware. 'Recording' is not there.

Yes it's working in that it plays everything, but when I put in a blank cd-r or dvd-r and try to access the disk I get an error message saying D:/...
