That means it is pointing to the USB port to print. Look for a port called TCP/IP like this one.
Open the Printers folder on the PC, Right click on the printer and select properties. Go to the port tab and tell me what port is selected.

Mark, ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) is used when you don't have a router (Gateway) Your PC acts as the router. Not needed in your situation.
Unless you have 2 network cards you can't do ICS.

It may not respond to ping. Guess you could try everything from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254 :D I have seen a lot of APs in the .245 range.
One more thing. I can't find a manual for this product to verify but I have never heard of a access point with a defaut IP of 192.168.1.1 unless...
