    running Windows 7 Home Premium on an HP 6000 laptop. When attempting tolog on this morning I got the message that password was not accepted for the account. Is there a way to get on? I do not have a recovery disk for the password. I do have a Windows 7 installition disk but scared to try that, might lose the stuff on the hard drive...

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi Bearclaw.

    If you boot the computer into Safe Mode see if you can login in Safe Mode.

    If you still cannot login to the user profile then there is nothing else we can do to assist you with password issues.
