Clicking Control Panel>System & Security>System displays what is installed, but not version of Windows.

What I require to know is what Window 10 version is installed whether Creator 15063 or higher. System screen does not show any version installed.

Hi Bobby, are you sure your copy of W10 is genuine? Did you not take your HP Omen comp back to the dealer under warranty? Is the dealer copy of W10 corrupt? I say this because you seem to be missing Files that we (others) all have in our W10 comps.
Can you show a screen shot of what appears on your screen when you follow the above instructions?
If you are desperate to know what the version is, Belarc Advisor will be able to show that requirement.

A very valid point that you have made retiredleaner. Indeed you are correct, PCWorld did replace the OMEN PC870-230 in a sealed HP box and Windows 10 was preinstalled. There are several faults as, the LED light on the panel does not work correctly and requires manual switching off, clicking the screen icon at each boot up. Contacted HP Support several times on this matter, all have been ignored. Past experience with other HP models should have warned me to stay away from buying this model. As said, "you never learn". Tried rsinfo suggestion, and it shows [1703 (OS build 15063.332].Thanks rsinfo.

Although it shows as 1703-15063. Read else where that new version shows Windows Defender Security Centre is listed in Windows version Creator. As settings shows a bigger and more icons, plus the fact that Defender installed is Security Centre, that my computer has indeed been upgraded to Creator. Creator was apparently installed with no notification from Microsoft, or was it Big Brother!!!

W10 Update history should show KB4015583 installed as cumulative update (Creator)

Update History shows list of only KB numbers above KB402-----. Downloaded KB4015583 and tried to install. Caption shows "Update is not applicable to computer". I have made a copy of Windows 10 from Microsoft. It appears to open, but will it require the activation code? as HP installed OS download does not appear in the computer. I agree there are far to many errors as in opening icons, especially IE11.

Take the whole setup back to where you bought it. Tell the retailer you want to exchange it for a different HP model or get a full refund and purchase a Dell.

Original computer was returned to PCWorld and under great persuasion it was reluctantly exchanged. Magazines dealing in Computers, write the same thing of customers of PCWorld having great hassles to receive satisfactory results. Believe me do not deal with PCWorld or HP as I have, you will just deal with a brick wall, unless you take expensive legal action.

I'm slowly starting to upgrade my laptops. Already replaced my desktop it has win 7 pro but came with 2 disks Win 7 pro and win 10 pro. Replaced one of my laptops with a Dell with win 7 pro and it also came with 2 disks win 7 pro and win 10 pro. So I can Literally go to Windows 10 Professional whenever I want. My other laptop(HP Business) has win 7 Ultimate but I have another drive with win 10 pro installed on it that I swap and plan to replace is with a Dell. If I can find a deal like the other Dell but with just Windows 10 Professional. But I still have some time to look around.

Apparently it appears to be the case and in a bit of a quandary. The OMEN lighting control is no longer manageable, as the light sequence can not be changed or switched off. HP Support certainly show no interest by ignoring all contacts with them and many other users like myself seek the same solution. Again I say, still well clear of HP for computer purchases.
