I just discovered that hyperlinks are being truncated by Chrome browsers after the hash (at least on my machine). These work correctly in 8.1 and they also work correctly with non-Chrome browsers like Edge, but any Chrome browser cuts off forum message identifiers when following a hyperlink from an email client or word processor. Example:
    http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=45&topicid=177479&page_no=8#1360855

In a Chrome browser this becomes:
    http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=45&topicid=177479&page_no=8

I don't know if this is a problem with Chrome or a problem with Win 10. All I know is it worked before, and now it doesn't. Can anyone shed additional light on this?

Sorry, I can't fit my specs into your form. I have multiple computers running different operating systems that I use for different purposes. In this case, the computer in question is an Acer V3 112p laptop that has just been upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Home 64 bit. CPU N3540, 4 gig RAM.

Fill in the specs for the computer that you use the most? Your main computer. Are there any other numbers following Acer V3 112p-(I.E. P994)? There are different version numbers associated with what you provided.

The laptop version is p7lp. I am just trying to get it set up and working at the moment. My main computer is actually an old generic box running XP. I prefer that OS for daily use, which mainly consists of browsing, forums and email, because I don't like the minimalist approach and inflexibility of modern apps and because I understand the inner workings of XP much better. The laptop is for mobile operation. I have a Win 8 mini-pc for streaming only, an old gaming machine with Win 7 for video work, a Vista machine for tools, and some antiques for nostalgia. I will look up the XP computer's details when I return to it.

Did your screen resolution change since the upgrade. I just spoke to a friend of mine who went to win 10 he said some of chromes problems will be fixed in an update. According to my friend Chrome and win 10 are having a lot problems.

I have since discovered that for myself. Apparently the truncated hyperlinks is one of those. From other reading I have been doing, I seem to have gotten off lightly. I had several minor issues but was able to find fixes for them. The only thing still outstanding at the moment is the truncated links. I did not have any issues with my display or resolution, but my laptop is pretty modern. Apparently others have had problems.

You will probably just have to wait it out for the chrome update and hopefully there will be a fix included. Sorry I couldn't help you any further.

I have been asked to complete this thread so will mark it resolved even though there is no real solution at this time. According to Google, the current version of the Chrome browser is not fully compatible with Windows 10, which is the reason for the problem. It is not clear to me whether the fault actually lies with Chrome or Microsoft, but I have been told that it will be fixed in a future update. Until then there is no solution.
