My Win 8 system goes into hibernation after about 15 mins (I set it) but when I try to wake it up after 1/2 hour or more, it gives me a black screen, will not wake up, and I have to force it off and on again.

Also, if I try to wake it BEFORE the 1/2 hour, it goes into the welcome screen and just circles the waiting sign. Well you know what I am trying to say.

Please help. This has been going on now for several weeks, and I am getting very frustrated with trying to find the answer. I have searched on here with several key words, but did not find anything like this.

I believe my system info will show below...

Hi gypsyhowl, When you edit your System Details > please scroll to the bottom of the page and SAVE before you close out.
W8.1 > Control Panel > Power Options > Left Menu > Change when the computer sleeps > Change Advanced Power Settings > Smaller window menu > Your choice > Apply > OK out. Neil.

Hi Neil. I have applied most of what you have stated above, except I have Windows 8 only, not 8.1, and I am not sure what you meant by 'smaller menu window'?
I thought I had saved my system information, but I will try again, thank you.

    Hi gypsyhowl,
When you click on Change Advanced Power Settings - do you see Power Options open to the left?
This is a smaller pane with a selection of Power Options for you to set.
So far your System Details have not shown. When you click UserCP > Edit System Specs > enter all your details and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on SAVE CHANGES.
Make sure you READ and follow the instructions in RED in paragraph at the bottom to enable your Details to be displayed. Cheers Neil.
