Pop Ups

    Could anyone please suggest the best and most effective pop up blocker for me please. I am currently using Mozilla Firefox as my browser and the innumerable pesky pop ups I am receiving is ridiculous and they are really driving me mad. I am also running AVG as my security software and I have also switched on the pop up blocker in Firefox. I need help and advise before I throw this computer out the window! I am currently still using XP but contemplating switching to Windows 7 very soon.

    Hi Jim

    I have been using Ad Muncher (not free) since June 2010 - wouldn't open Firefox without it.
    You can try it out before you decide to buy it.

    Got to agree with Arie here. Most of them are caused by Malware/Spyware.

    A popup blocker is not a solution on an infected computer. First you'll need to disinfect it.
