With windows XP no longer being supported by Microsoft in a few days I am looking for the best way to leave my XP machines on the router for file sharing with the other computers and printer sharing. but for obvious reasons I will want to make these XP machines invisible to the internet. I am sure there is internet blocking software to accomplish this task, but are there other ways using the router or the XP machines. Remember I want my network to function the same as it is now I just need to totally restrict internet access for the XP machines.

    Thanks

Thanks Mr. Bill. I guess the best way to handle XP is to restrict internet access with the browser and let the firewalls help prevent unwanted accesses or attacks. One thing that I plan to do is format the drive and start over with a clean system and have personal data on it and other fun stuff, but no online internet activity. I will use my win 7 machine for internet torture.

    Thanks
