    Hello,
I went to my friend's home to help her clean up her computer as it was running very slow. The first thing we did was install and update Malware Bytes and after it ran we deleted about 200 malwares. I also ran another couple of clean up programs, such as Clean Up, Glary Utilities, and Disk Cleanup.

When we restarted the computer we received this error message. (See Attachment). I downloaded and installed iTunes but she continues to receive the error message no matter what I have tried.

She is running a Lenovo Desktop 64 bit operating system. I tried to research the problem on the internet but everything seems to be to technical for me to understand.

I do not have the computer with me so I will either have to ask her to do what you suggest or make a dateto go see her myself.

Any help you can provide will be very much appreciated.

    Jeanne

This is just my opinion, but I think that many malware issues could have possibly corrupted the operating system.

Maybe someone with more skill can offer a fix without reinstalling Windows.

    Hi Jeanne.

The computer could still be infected with malware so I would suggest that you read this and post a new thread in the Malware and Virus Removal Forum to make sure the computer is clean of any malware infections.

Once the computer is declared clean, if you are still having issues then post an update back in this thread.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick replies. I wrote to my friend and asked her if I could take the computer home because it requires a lot of time and programs to run.

I'll let you know if and when she allows me to have her computer here so I can run the programs they have advised to do.

    Thanks very much.

    Jeanne

I just want you to know I haven't heard from my friend about bringing her computer home. If I don't hear soon I will close this posting and then later repost to the Malware and Virus removal site. I will give her another week though. thanks for your patience.

I haven't heard from my friend on this computer but now I have another friend's laptop that has problems so I will close this post and just start a new post in the Virus removal section.

I'll get back with a new post if necessary.

    Thank you.

    Jeanne
