    [Inactive] everything gone

this is the most weird thing ive ever seen. at first thought it was the bug that puts attributes on everything so they appear invisible. after running rkill and unhide only thing that comes back is the program folder. ran malwarebytes and found no errors although client said a program came up telling him of all the bugs and wanting 79.00 to fix the normal bug ive seen many times. whatever hit this machine specifically isolated on clients data only. programs work after using unhide but no pixs no music no briefcase no data what so ever. even at dos prompt nothing found in folders.

has anyone seen this ??? is this a new variant that specifically zaps just the data ??? ive never seen this kinda damage before. have fixed 100 machines using the unhide with no problems but this one is nasty.

any info would be appreciated. rebuilding machine back to defaults now but if this is new i would like to know what i can do. thanks.

ive done this a thousand times so i do know what im doing. like i said everything is gone there is nothing to run any log on other than the programs still being there after running unhide the rest of the system is like someone manually deleting everything from all the folders. i cant afford to run all these things ive done here before it takes way to much time last time i did this with you we were still working on it 7 days later and i cant afford to keep my clients without a machine that long. thanks anyway.

Since I don't know it your issue had been caused by some kind of infection (no logs) I can't comment.
If you still want to discuss the subject I suggest you create new topic in "General security" forum.
