Hi, This is Amit here. I am having a Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 7 home premium 64 bit operating system. Yesterday I started my laptop and suddenly there was a black screen displaying "Choose an operating system to restart or press TAB to select a tool" Below there was an option "Tools : Windows Memory Diagnostic ". I selected Windows 7 and proceeded and it was a safe start but when I clicked my Local D Drive folders there is a display on the screen "Are you sure you want to delete the files and send to Recycle Bin? I clicked "NO" but then also message still reappears. Also my many files got deleted automatically. I tried System restore option too but that didn't work. Then I also choose "Windows Memory Diagnostic" option at the start but then also the black screen at the start and asking of deletion of files is being repeated. I am not able to get what the problem is. Just HELP me out.

How did the local drive become "D "? Normally it is "C" and "D" is the recovery partition. What did you move around?

Sorry I was talking about partition drive D files and not local drive C.
