    This error message shows whenever I try to update Windows 7. There are a lot of comments in the Microsoft pages about this but none of the suggested things get the matter resolved.

    If anyone has any thoughts or experience with this please let me know! This system has not been updated since April!

    Thanks for any help!

    yes, I went there and attempted to resolve the issue with the recommendations, nothing resolved the issues. However, I will go back and take a fresh look to see if there is something I missed or did not do correctly.

    Thanks for the reply. I will post again with whatever I come up...

    Did you do as the Microsoft page linked by lj50 above suggests?

    Thanks for the link. I have run that 'fix-it' about a dozen times. No help with the problem. I even went so far as to turning off the firewall completely in the event there may be something creating a conflict, no resolution with that action either. :{

    I am at wits end with this, it seems so simple but alas, not one thing seems to get me past this...

    I had the very same error sometime ago, about sent me round the twist to solve. In my case, it turned to be two files where either corrupt or not installed properly.

    1. NET Frame Work Vesta on XP Server 2003.

    2. NET Frame Work for Vesta, Windows7.

    Microsoft Web site forum, still trying to find a solution. I hope this will be of help to you, certainly it did for me.
