I have XP and use Mozilla

I have been using the save passwords option. It quit prompting me to save passwords for "new" sites, and never prompts me to save changed passwords for "old" sites, as I don't think that's an option with this feature. Is there a way to get it to prompt me to save a password at my will? Can I add passwords to saved passwords?

Which Mozilla? I have not used a "Mozilla" for years, but I am using Mozilla Firefox, as well as Seamonkey, which is the direct descendant of Mozilla.
Obviously, I would not know the settings for Mozilla, but Seamonkey has a setting in Edit|Preferences|Privacy and Security|Passwords|check mark at "Remember passwords ".
The Data Manager allows you to remove, but not to add passwords, as I can see. Take a look at this old link.
As for Firefox, go to: Tools|Options|Security|Remember passwords. Make sure to check the Exceptions button. I found three sites there. One of them, I wanted saved. May be it is up to site. I have no recollection in placing them in a no save status.

My fault. Firefox. Yeah, I went to tools and did all of that. The link you provided went over my head.

I wonder if I could just do a recovery or a restore. I've done a restore, but never a recovery.
