    hey all!

I'm searching for some new ram bcause ive now only 1 gig.

if i do the scan on cruicial.com i become this data:

    Memory:
    DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 PC2-6400
    Memory Type: DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 (non-ECC)
    Maximum Memory: 4GB
    Currently Installed Memory: 2GB
    Total Memory Slots: 2
    Available Memory Slots: 0

They advise me to buy this:
    4GB kit (2GBx2)
    DDR2 PC2-5300 "¢ CL=5 "¢ Unbuffered "¢ NON-ECC "¢ DDR2-667 "¢ 1.8V "¢ 256Meg x 64 "¢ "¢ Part #: CT744892
    $61.99

But since I live in Belgium, i search those RAM nearby and maybe from another brand. does any1 has a recommendation?

In my experience over many years the Crucial Memory Selector has been spot on and the performance of the RAM nearly faultless - I had one dubious stick some years ago and it was replaced without question.

Get this one instead, 4GB kit (2GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400 memory module.

DDR2 6400, 800 MHz is faster than DDR2 5300, 667 MHz. The DDR2 6400, 800 MHz RAM is about the same price as the DDR2 5300 that you linked to but its faster than what you currently have.

I also prefer Crucial memory. Arie when I asked about the OS thats what I thought it will only recognize 3.2-3.5gbs. After I posted I noticed that is was a 32bit system.

Both types of RAM will work with your system but if you want to stick with the same speed of memory that you currently have then follow what Arie has suggested.

I think you will find that the BIOS/chipset control the system memory speed and default to oem spec regardless of a faster internal memory module speed , however there maybe manual configuration controls - usually within BIOS setup > advanced or memory or some such
change AUTO to manual and configure as per upgraded modules.
You can also manually adjust the various Clk speeds as well if supported
