I was getting hung up in Roxio film editing. I closed it and went to task manager to see what was running. This, Cyberlink Media, and credential manager were active. I found directions explaining to close this program right here at this site, but, when I went to disable it I found it is not even listed in my services. Does this mean somebody was running it from outside? If not, then what does it mean? Can it be listed as another name? Credential manager keeps turning on while I am composing this question also even though I disabled it in services and still shows disabled. I'm mentioning this as it may be a part of the security issue if there is one.

Hi eatviddles and welcome to WindowsBBS.

I'd suggest checking it for malware first.

Follow the instructions here and start a thread in the malware and virus removal forum.

Once your computer is declared clean, then perhaps we'll be able to help further.
