Searching from where? The actual Google Web page search box or the Google search provider in FF?

I have never seen this behavior. Google is my default search engine, selected at the right of the address bar, and it works fine.

    google won't work

I know, that's why I call upon you guys to straighten this out! Is it something in windows xp, or in my setup for FF 8? It has to be in the FF 8, cause it works in Chrome just fine.

    Just to be clear...

If you enter www.google.com in the address bar (not the search bar) do you see Google's website and if so searches from googles website produce a blank page, no error page etc?

    google won't work

    Yes, that is exactly correct.

Both open up a blank page, white.

I tried Bing, yahoo searches. All the same, white page

If you can navigate to other Websites and it's the search engine pages that are not working, then you probably have a malware infection.

Read this post, then post the requested log(s) in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.

Frankly... I've pretty much consigned FF to the back burner and have gone with Chrome. The user experience has been so much better (at least for me).

I am using Firefox 8, and I have Win XP. So, is the blank page problem, only, in Firefox 8?
    Try this.
Doing a Search I found a bunch of topics going back to 2009, and some type of Malware may be involved.

    google won't load in FF8

I just tried my google search and it is working now. So, is Bing, and Yahoo, in FF8.
So do I need to continue with this, or is it considered fixed?
