Yes. Uninstall them with Revo then reboot, then install them again.

Hi Forsaken Knight. I noticed that in your screenshots you have 92 processes running in Task Manager and all those background programs are using almost half of your system RAM. Having that many processes running definitely can have a negative impact on your performance of your system.

Now I know you are running Malwarebytes on your system but are you running any other security software? You stated in your first post that you attempted to download Zone Alarm. Do you have it installed?

I looked at some of the screenshots and I noticed that you have a few toolbars installed in IE9. Its possible that some IE add-ons are causing your downloads to become corrupted. I would start by running IE9 with no add-ons and see if you can download anything. To run IE9 without add-ons click Start< All Programs< Accessories< System Tools< Internet Explorer (No-Addons).

Instead of posting tons of screenshots of your processes in Task Manager I would like for you to use Process Explorer to view the running processes on your system which will then make reading what is running on your computer much easier for me.

Download and run Process Explorer. Extract the contents of the folder and then right click the procexp.exe program and click Run As Administrator. After it opens see if you can pinpoint any processes that you don't need running and find out which ones are taking up any of the CPU usage.

After you have monitored the processes in Process Explorer click File< Save As and save the ProcessXP text file to your desktop.

Open the text file and copy and paste the results here in your next reply with the number of processes the computer is running.

    @MrBill,
I believe walmart is the username that Forsaken Knight is using on the computer.

Edit: Forsaken Knight, go ahead and reinstall Flash Player and see if the issue remains regarding the stuttering video. If reinstalling Flash Player doesn't help then go ahead and follow the instructions that I posted above.

Look at the above screen shots. I did as you stated, uninstalled, restarted/rebooted, then when to the official site, and got an error message. I am not sure why this message appears, but it seems that when I try to download something new, I more than not, get the message that something is currupted. What the hell that may be, I have no idea. I think it might not be curruption, but an interruption within the downloading process. Which ever the case may be, this is a rather annoying issue I am dealing with.

Yes, I have zone alarm on my laptop pc. It is outdated, so I wanted to download an updated version of the free program. However, as you can see in one of my previous image posts, the system see's some sort of curruption during the download process. What that may be has stumpped me to the point that I do not know.

Ok. Go ahead and start IE9 with no add-ons. To run IE9 without add-ons click Start< All Programs< Accessories< System Tools< Internet Explorer (No-Addons).

After IE9 has started, download Adobe Flash Player from here. See if it installs now.

Try saving the file and running once downloaded, (this is looking like an ISP issue rather than a problem at your end)

EDIT: Sorry Evan, didn't want to step on your toes.

did as stated. restarted pc, ran ie no add ons, went to adobe flash web site, same issue as stated in my last screen shot. Came here, followed directions, and installed flash player. Went to youtube to test it out, nothing yet. went back to filehippo, and tried redownloading same thing, got message after ie download that "...was reported as unsafe." Then I tried to download the 64 bit ex, and got the same error.

Ok, I have no need to waste your time either but how can you run the program if you had a corrupted message 25% during download?

I'm not really seeing anything in the list of processes or add-ons that could be causing your Internet downloads to become corrupted.

The only thing that you could try would be to temporarily shut down your Zone Alarm Firewall and Avast Antivirus then see if you can download anything.

Do you have any other browsers installed that you can try downloading files from?

ROFL, you, me, like eye to eye.

I thought of that same thing. I did not come back here to see you write that message. I thought of this on my own. I just shut down my zone alarm, and tried to install adobe flash player, it succeeded. I then tried to play a video on youtube. I tried one that I like but I knew was always having problems. it ran smoothly. I then installed windows important updates, all 3 that were giving me issues. All went smoothly. I did not disable avast antivirus during this whole thing.

Now, when I first saw that adobe flash installed successfully, I banged my head on the desk. I want to laugh, but I was more sad about this.

Now that I know the issue is derived from my fire wall, what should I do?

Should I get a different free fire wall?

Should I get an updated version of zone alarm fire wall?

I was also able to update malwarebytes too once I shut down my zone alarm fire wall.
