My Sony Vaio laptop running Windows 7 has suddenly stopped playing any sound. It has a Realtek High Definition Audio Default device which I have checked in the sound section of the Control panel which says it is working normally. Windows says there are no updated device drivers.
    Can anyone help, please?

Thank you; my Sony Vaio Laptop is 10 months old, running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1. It has an Intel i3 processor@ 2.4GHz with 4GB RAM and 64-bit Operating System. I have broadband access via my ISP's router.
I understand that it has integrated sound, being a laptop, rather than a separate sound card. Anything else you need to know?
