Today I answered my phone to hear a person with an Indian-sounding accent who was convinced that I needed to check my C-Drive as there was a fault that needed to be rectified in it.

He kept repeating that he was from 'Microsoft Partners' or something & it was imperative that I look at my computer as there was a fault with the C-Drive.

I quickly realised that this was a scam of some sort & put the phone down. After further research I discovered about the Ammy.com scam.

Apparently, ammyy forums believe that there are scammers using their software to control your computer from a distance & perform various kinds of scams.

Do not be tricked by these calls.
