Bothered by Unknown Caller three times.

    9/1/11, 4:04pm, foreign (maybe E. Indian) female called to tell me my computer is infected. I hung up.
    9/2/11, 11:30am, foreign (also maybe E. Indian) male called to tell me my computer is infected. I hung up.
    9/7/11, 5:30pm, foreign (same accent) male called about my computer. I asked him what he was talking about. Several times, he said "your computer." I told him I didn't understand what he was talking about and hung up.

    After the second phone call, I took my tower in to Best Buy and they ran a test and couldn't see anything wrong. Should I be worried?

    If they call again, I'm going to ask them how they got my phone number and to please not call me again. Should I be worried? Is there something I should be doing? I have WINXP and use Mozilla Firefox. I have NAV2011.

    Hi Annie Lori. Those phone calls that you have been getting are complete scams. Don't pay any attention to them. No one over the phone can tell you that your computer is infected without actually using your machine.

    Your computer is probably running fine so I would do the same thing that you have been doing already. If they call you again tell them that what they are doing is a total scam and that they should be ashamed of themselves. You probably won't be getting any more calls after that.

    Hi Annie Lori, to set your mind at rest - this is worth looking at and if you have the time and the patience - this is something I would have loved to do.
    My wife and I have received 5-6 calls telling us that our computer needs attention and silly me, I just hung up the phone when I could have had all the fun that Chris had.
