Lets see if I can make this succint. Files ended up outside document folders and in the root. I began moving them back into folders and then decided to do a Previous Version rebuild. That worked but after a few details I ended up with two Document folders. One is shown in Libraries and only has files and no folders. The other is the one I rebuild under my user name and I am currently checking for duplicates and deleting files from the root. At one point I had removed the library version and added my user version and that fixed my start menu. My start menu was freezing when I clicked on Documents/Documents. But not on Public Documents. Somewhere along the line when I had to start from scratch again, the start menu version began freezing again. I assume there is a missing pointer or some missing inf file, etc. I'm sure one of you he end techs will have a simple fix. thank you.
