Hello! I would really appreciate some help... My problem might be connected to this expired thread: http://www.windowsbbs.com/other-sof...-word-2003-inserts-bitmap-image-not-text.html

Shortly, the situation is like this: I cut a part of text from a Word file and when I wanted to paste it in another one, I got a bitmap image ( a black dot). The problem is that I had saved the first file in the modified version, so without the text I needed. I mention that the black dot is still in the clipboard. Is there any chance to recover the initial text? Unfortunately, I did not have the proper settings on Word to use the Recover Previous Versions option...

Thank you and hoping for a solution...

PS: Sorry for how ridiculous this might seem, I'm really a mess with computers...

Not knowing your OS I can only offer a generalised possible solution .....

If the bitmap is still onthe clipboard paste it into an image editor that can deal with bitmaps. You may see the text - OTOH you may see a black dot. It all depends on what Word did with it when cut.
