I recently installed WinPatrol Plus and it has identified two files in Windows Startup Program. The files are:
    (Title) iphlclient10 (Command) iphlclient.dll (Type) APPINIT_DLL
(Title) msspl (Command) msspl.dll (Type) APPINIT_DLL
All other files have company logo or name displayed. These two files don't have anything beside them. I have run a search from the Start menu but can't locate them.
I have scanned with AVG 10 and also Malwarebytes and nothing showing by way of virus. Should they be considered suspicious?

Please go to User CP near the top left of this page and fill out you system specs. Makes it easier to see what you have.

Next, I would suggest a trip to the Malware section and run the scans and post the logs.

Disable them from WinPatrol & see if your computer boots up ok. If everything looks ok, leave them disabled.

Googling seems to indicate you may have an HP machine with Photo imaging software?

Follow MrBill's request to fill out your 'System Details' and help will be more easily found. Cheers Neil.

I have been trying to complete my System specs. I have completed it to the best of my knowledge and have clicked 'save'. I can't seem to find a way to transport it to the area required.

When in doubt....read Admin. instructions. Got it this time.

I have just been going through my "May need it later" file and found a printed copy of an old Avast scan from about 9 months ago. I have uninstalled Avast and all traces of it and now use AVG 10.
That scan showed the subject files as being a 'Threat Detected. and suggested they be moved to Chest. This task would have been done.
The description given was....C:\Windows\system32\iphlpclient10.dll (Severity High) and Status Threat:Win32:Malware and msspl.dll was described the same and classified the same.
The WinPatrol Plus program only has option to remove these two files.
    * All other 'startup' programs, when highlighted, have opt. to disable or remove.
Look forward to your further comment.

I had alerted WinPatrol Plus through a program button that the two files mentioned may be suspicious. They contacted me today(very efficient) to advise the following..........
"The two files which WinPatrol is listing certainly look suspicious. Luckily, it appears that another security program has quarantined or removed these files so they don’t autorun. It’s not uncommon for company names to be missing, even for legitimate companies.

Since these files don’t have a date First Detected they may not exist on your computer but your other security program didn’t tidy up their registry settings in the Startup Programs list.I would select the files and click on our "Info" button. This will show you their location on your hard drive."
I have followed their instructions and have found their prognosis correct.
Thanks for your efforts. I think we can now classify this matter as solved.
