Resolved Newly added hard drive not seen by Windows?

    i just put a second hard drive into my PC to be used as a data drive can anyone tell me how to get windows explorer to recognise it, please

    We encourage all members to enter their system details, it could help resolving this and any future issues you may have.

    At the very least we'll need to know which version of windows you have.

    sorry i forget not everyone is a mind reader lol
    its a new build
    windows 7 64bit with an ASUS sabretooth X58 mobo

    Ok, start by reading Install or remove a hard disk drive since you've already installed the drive if you scroll down to Preparing to use a new hard disk you should have all the directions you need.

    Note: These instructions are for vista but should be the same (or very similar) for 7.
