I still don't understand how to get a dump file, as I have Windows 7.

Also, when the blue screen happens, it goes away too quickly for me to read and my computer reboots.

I checked and my PC is already configured to write dump data but the dump file is no where to be found. A blue crash happened today so i'm not sure why it is not there. The config tells me that the .dmp file would be in my system root but it's not there.

    What are your pagefile settings?

Did you actually see a note (bottom left) on the BSOD that it was writing the dump file?

Sounds like your system in't writing the BSOD.

    Did you check in \Windows\Minidump\?

Since you don't have a dump file, look in your Event Log for listings of the errors & their details.

You'll have to post details here.

You can double click on any error for more details, and there is also a button to copy the error to your clipboard for easy copying & pasting.

Look at errors that are related to the computer restarting. You do that by matching the time of the event to the time of the restart.

This is how a properly copied error message looks like:

    Like I said:
You'll also have to find the error that happens prior to the reboot occuring.
