    Before I install my old Nero 7 Ultra, will I be able to use it in W7. It is a big download with Huge Updates.

    Since I migrated to Windows 7 from XP several years ago I have run Nero 7 Burning Rom 7.11.10.0 without issue on my 3 W7 computers and on those of several friends.

    I have no use for the whole (bloated) Nero suite and make a custom install for the Burning ROM only.

    The site that you sent, it says that Nero 7 is free. I have my paid for version, and don't know if you mean to discontinue it and go with the free one or what? Sorry getting old and slow these days.

    Dropped Nero a long time back as it has become very big & has tonnes of addons which just are not required for the job.

    I am currently using CDBurnerXP. Very good & gets the job done efficiently.

    Mitch posted that link, not me :)

    I posted that Nero 7 - Burning Rom works just fine in Win 7 Pro x64

    If you are only interested in burning Nero 10 Free also works well.

    I have used CDBurnerXP before and liked it, for the same reason you quoted. Gonna try it on W7. Thanks for reminding me.
