[Inactive] internet access disabled by virus (i think)

i cannot connect to the web to do all that is asked by windowsbbs when dealing with malware
i am getting a wlan.cfgg has encountered a problem and must close box appearing
i have run the mbam in normal and safe mode to no avail
i have tried a system restore
i have run the windows essentials
my comp is compaq evon160 c
service pack 3 windows xp pro
what do i do ?
