[AnalogX proxy is using 99% of the CPU]

    Dear Sir

    I am using XPSP2 and installed Analogx proxy to share internet connection. Of late AnalogX proxy is using 99% of the CPU usage. How to resolve the problem.

    Hi Manas, I would suggest you Download and install SP3 and see if that improves your operation. Neil.

    This Link may be helpful. The person hear had a similar problem and it turned out to be the Antivirus program scanning the proxy causing the 99% cpu time.

    Dear Sir
    I am giving the details for your consideration.

    I have a total of 23 computers. Out of which no1 computer is directly connected with internet and others share the IP of the no1 and I have shared the connectection with AnalogX proxy. But soon after I make the proxy on, the CPU usage goes upto 99% by proxy. Aslo sometime vssrv.exe usages the CPU 99% and in both the cases working on no1 computer becomes almost impossible.
    Do you have any solution to this? Please help

    I am using Bitdefender 2009 Internet Security. I have disabled the real time scan. But nothing changes.

    Try disabling the logging function in the proxy. If set to ON, it will log all traffiic and activity, and will be continuously writing to the logs.

    What kind of Internet connection do you have? You'd be better off using a router and switches, rather than using 1 computer to manage and handle all network traffic.
