Resolved How can you edit a mpeg movie clip

    I have a few fishing mpeg's and I would like to keep the video, but edit out the sound so I can add a musical background. Has anyone done this? If so, what software can I use to achieve this.

    I haven't tried edting mpegs but here is some info to look at MPEG Editors and here is a link to one free editor I googled to find Video Dub

    I am sure there are a bunch of folks here who have done what you are wanting to do and can point you in the right direction but these may get you a start.

    Please add your system details to your profile here. Windows operating systems gave built in basic movie editors that may be able to do what you want.

    Use Windows Movie maker. It's fairly easy to use. Mute the original sound, then add your musical. If you do not see the Movie Maker icon on your desktop, check under C:\Program files\Windows Movie Maker. I take it you are running Windows XP SP2 and above.
