I have photoed.exe (a component of Office 2000) set as the default application for .jpg image files. Today I captured a few of these images and stored them in a temporary folder. But when i clicked on one of the filenames. nothing happened. A photoed icon shows in the task bar, and the task manager shows a photoed.exe process running. Clicking on the desktop icon for this program does nothing. Ditto for going to the filename and clicking on it. In short, photoed.exe has simply stopped working. I'm totally mystified.

Any thoughts? I've tried GOOGLE with "photoed.exe stopped working" and all I get is gibberish.

It fanally occurred to me that if PHOTOED.EXE had somehow got corrupted, the solution might be to reistall Office 2000. It worked. Since Photoed is not included in the "standard" setup, it was necessary to choose it explicitly when setting up O-2000
