I have a basic knowledge of setting up dual wireless routers on a single broadband connection; but, my question goes to the encryption.

Is there a way to do this and have different encryption on each wireless router?

If so, can anyone point me to a step-by-step how-to somewhere on the web? I've seen several how-to's; but, they all deal with same encryption on both routers.

In case it matters, these are the two routers:

This the the primary router (already set up).

This is the (intended) secondary router.

I found this scroll down to Adrian's post. That may answer your question. There is also this one which I think also may answer your question.

What I basically got out of it was -- you can but they have to be on separate channels and have separate SSIDs.

It can be done as was stated above.
But best to set the second wifi router to just an Access Point by disabling its DHCP and let the first router handle addressing. Trouble can occur when "double-NAT'ing ".

The only way to do it right is have 2 IP's from your ISP.

The windows wireless utility handles signals in an odd way
They grab the strongest signal -its not as if they jump back and forth as you would think
You can have two routers - or really 1 router and an access point with no dhcp on attached to the router
You can have the same ssid, same security code but make sure the two signals are on different channels
I don't think the windows wireless utilities can handle two different security codes for one ssid
    hope this helps
