Resolved Antivirus 8

    Can anyone help, i had to run a system restore to get back on the internet as this virus stopped me accessing the program, also when i check what wireless connection im using for the internet there is something called Gateway:confused: , now i have never seen this before only after antivirus 8 infected my computer. Any help will greatly appreciated.

    The Gateway you see is perfectly normal - see here for an explanation and below for an example in Windows IP Configuration (all data has been removed)
    However I would head over to the Malware & Virus Removal forum for a check up .....

    Please read this as indicated at the head of the forum and post the logs requested in a new thread.

    Thanks for the help, that puts my mind at ease about the gateway thing, also i think i have sorted the virus problem. Thanks again.

    It's your call, but I would still do as I suggested for your own peace of mind :) You cannot be sure that you have totally eliminated it.

    I echo PeteC here, and will go so far as to say that it is quite likely you are still infected.
