    Hi, i was wondering if i could get a bit of help/advice. My computer has been crashing every few days, everything freeze's, the audio gets interrupted then the monitor goes blank and has that "no power" type message and i have to force shut down my pc otherwise nothing happens. I've kept my nvidia drivers fully up to date and that hasn't helped, basically i have no clue so any help would be awesome. I've got windows 7 64bit.

    Does the monitor go black or blue?

    What exactly is the error information displayed on screen?

    @markmadras there isn't any, the screen will just go black then the message you get when your monitor is one but your computer isn't will display (despite the fact that my computer is on). when i restart i get the "run in safe mode" screen come up but i don't seem to actually get anything telling me what happened

    @Admin. thanks

    Can you get into safe mode. If so does the problem persist?

    Can you relate anything in common with it crashing, any particular software that you are using when it crashes.

    When the crashes started can you relate it to an update or new software being installed.

    i'll try it out tomorrow and get back to you.
    it happens mostly when i'm playing games that push my machine pretty hard, i've kept those games as up to date as possible too.

    this is starting to sound like overheating your having the exact same symptoms as an PC I worked on a couple of weeks ago, turned out all the heat sinks were full of dust once I removed them and cleaned them up and replaced the thermal compound the machine stopped misbehaving

    Please follow this instruction so we can see what you have in your PC. Overheating does sound like a possibility but you may also be pushing your PSU beyond its limits.
