The tool bars of my Internet Explorer browser windos have unexpectedly gone black. I cannot read the titles of the buttons at all.
I am most grateful for your kind advice if possible

What version of IE are you using?

I saw the same last week on an XP/IE 7 computer - updating to IE 8 - which you should be running any way for the enhanced security and fully updating IE 8 resolved the issue.

Please complete your System Specifications - 32 bit OS tells us nothing, not even the version of Windows :)

    Resolved changed tool bar appearance

    Hi

The directions for the required solution came 4 hours ago from broni Malware Analyst in the link http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic...st__p__1550809.

The theme for the theme for the Windows XP (Home Edition) Operating System was changed as follows:
    1. Right click a vacant space on the desk top
    2. Click on Properties from the pop-up menu that appears
    3. The Display Properties window appears open on the required tab, "˜Themes’
    4. In the text field under Themes at the top of this window select "˜Windows Classic’ option from the choices shown by clicking on the downward arrow
    5. In my case, the Theme was changed from "˜Windows XP’ to "˜Windows Classic’

Thanks very much for your most kind help.
