[Inactive] plz help guide me in checking my pc for problems.

I would like help in finding out if there is something wrong with my pc. There have been some recent events as of late, which have grown suspicion. I have a hijackthis log, which I would like evaluate, if that were all right. There is one thing within the hijackthis log report, which alarms me. It is the following entry.

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = :0

In addition, I have started a related thread to this topic of mine. The link/web-address of the thread is as follows.

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/general-s...ck-hijack-log-any-thing-i-should-get-rid.html

If you, the person(s) who will help me check my pc for possible problems, wish for me to post a hijackthis or similar report, please do so. I will be more than happy to provide any information possible to make sure my pc is clean as a whistle, as the saying goes.

Thank you, to those who will help me in this matter. I look forward to your response.

That is simply telling IE not to use a Proxy server. Very few home users will have heard of a proxy server and certainly won't be using one.

    Hi,

As I said before: a hijackthis log is insufficient and something we don't ask for. If you want help please follow the rules.

Read this post as indicated at the top of this forum & follow the instructions.
