    I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to update my bios, or even if its necessary.

    First question is why do you want to update the BIOS?

    Unless the new BIOS contains features/fixes that you need there is no requirement to do so.

    well Pete..honestly I dont know if I realy need to update bios, but since my PC is extremely unsetable, I have tried to update all my components and see if in this way I can fix something about it

    do you know where I can get inof on wethere new bios have fixes from old one?

    If you post the model of Gateway you have I would have a chance to look up the BIOS - the info may not be available.

    I think you would be better off outlining the exact nature of your problems and see if we can offer any advice to correct them.

    By updating components do you mean updating the drivers or physically updating the hardware?

    I have gateway GT5432, and I'm just thinking on updating the drivers.

    I have another post on hardware about the problem I'm facing under the tittle "computer stop working randomly "
