Hello, On my tower pc,Hp pav., I have the latest java installed. The games start out fine and then just stop running. I can still hear the game "playing" but it will not do anything.I have 16.7 GB out of 74.5 GB. Maybe my space/memory is too low to play? I am using Internet Exp. with windows xp.Service pk.2. I have Java 1.6. Thanks,Bev

    Which games are they?
Have they ever worked on this machine?

There may be several reasons why, from low memory (ram) or video ram to display conflicts. It would be helpful if you would list your system specs (found in user control panel ) and if you are playing off the hard drive, dvd/cd or over the Internet. Is it all games or a specific game?

wow...nice quick reply, ty! I am on my laptop right now...hubby's on the tower so i will have to look at the specs when he is done.
I have played games on the tower before and it is much slower now. The games are from Pogo and are played through the Internet. All of the games run much slower now on the tower pc. I play most on my laptop and they play very well. I have lots of room on here and switch to the tower because some games are just much faster (when working right) when you respond with a mouse instead of a finger...lol.
Thanks, I will send the specs later....hope you can help.

I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus...I turned it off and the game responded better right away, but only for awhile. It froze again and If I leave it...the game eventually comes back...I usually lose of course playing on a frozen window. I put my protection back on again. I have MS Windows XP;version 2002; service pk. 2. I did up date to service pk. 3 and it did the same thing. Thanks

First try running IE without add-ons

In XP I think you right click on the IE desktop icon and select no add-ons, otherwise All programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer No add ons.

If it doesn't freeze in no add-ons mode restart it in normal mode and go Tools > Manage add-ons and disable add-ons one at a time until it runs without freezing - the last one disabled will be your culprit.

Finally, try a reset of IE, Tools > Internet Options > Advanced - Reset

Let me know if either helps.
