[Inactive] Malware triggered a chain reaction of problems

    Hello!
I'm new to this forum. Well actually, I've been lurking trying to find answers but I can't seem to resolve my problem. I believe I have a bad malware on my desktop and when I tried to fix it, it caused me more damage to my computer. This is actually a two part question. I don't know if I should post it here first or perhaps post it under networking. My concern right now is I cannot connect to the internet through normal mode but I can connect through safe mode with networking.

Ok the symptoms of malware: Random websites just pop up out of nowhere. Also, when I go to google and search, the link redirects me to a random website. I had to click back, click the link again, then go back and repeat the process probably 5x in order to get the intended link.

So I tried to fix it, by lurking at various forums.
I downloaded: Superanti spyware, MAM, Hijackthis, ComboFix, MGTools, Spybot Search & Destroy, and RootRepeal. I have all the logs of all except ROotrepeal because it won't work on my system. (Even though i have a 32 bit instead of 64).

So I did all those. Malware is still there it seems but I just ignored it. Next day, my internet is gone. I did a system restore and it worked, but then it was gone again (no connectivity). It only works through safe mode with networking but if I go in normal mode, my internet doesn't work. I researched on how to fix this and downloaded the winfix and did the CMD and all that winsock reset but its still not working. Now I'm here because I ran out of options.

SOrry for the long post! I don't know what else to do.

    WIndows Xp, SP2
