    How much hard drive space

On my primary computer I have 120 GB, but I wanted only 80 GB. The store didn't carry hard drives below 120 GB. I have an external hard drive of 100 GB.

    1 x 1Tb
    1 x 1.5Tb

    2 x 80Gb = 80Gb RAID 1
    1 x 500Gb

Wow! Most people seem to have really big hard drives on their computers, I hoped there would have been more choices on the poll (smaller sizes). My "modern" computer, which I use daily, is a laptop purchased at 2003, it has 55.8 Gb,(NTFS) about 90% free. My retro-pc, a desktop, Pentium 133 MHz purchased at -96, (still running fine :)) has 1.7 Gb,(FAT16) about 75% free. I dont of course use it nearly as often, mainly for text editing, because I dont like the tiny keyboard of the laptop. I feel that I dont have use for any bigger hard drives, most space consuming file on my laptops "huge" hard drive, is My Pictures-folder with less than 1 Gb.

When games are taking up 10GB+ a pop now, I definitely need the HDD space.

Lots and lots.....what do you really need

[FONT= "Microsoft Sans Serif"]Now have 22 bare drives sitting behind me in a standing up WD shipping container for "quick draw" access (almost all Seagate and Maxtor drives) and 3 hot swap trays in my "home" computer. Takes just about 10 seconds to add or swap out another terabyte or three!
What's really interesting is that my computer business until about 1996 ran all business applications and lots of specialty software and compilers on an IBM PC/XT clone Novell server with 2-60 MB (yes that's Megabyte) Priam (CDC) IDE drives with about 60% free!

    What?!?

I 'assume' you are saying this because many people have stated they are running with *large amounts* of storage... you may need to re-think this.
