After using avira antivirus, i scan the whole computer and restart.

The computer starts and turn to Log on menu, but the accident appears after she click to account in screen, the computer restart immediately. At this problem, I find the solution by replacing USERINIT.EXE file into system and system32.

i TRY to access to Safemode, but the keyboard doesn't work, Numlock and Capslock keys are unable to active, too, and i can't move up and down key to choose to enter the safemode.

Problem still appears when I'm trying reinstall the Windows, bootmenu appears but the keyboard doesn't work anymore...

I try another keyboard but nothing changes

I hope someone here can help me!!!
    Millions thank to you!!!!

Since you must have XP, I will provide the guide to follow to install Windows clean
    Please choose your Windows version:

Also note: That Avira did not cause the fault, the fault sounds like you may have had malware present before installing an Antivirus software. I use Free Avira Antivirus, all is ok.

Is it a USB keyboard? Do you have a spare PS/2 one and a PS/2 port on your computer?

Chances are Legacy USB (or similar) is disabled in the BIOS.

If you can, post the m/board model of the faulty system to give us a better idea of your available options.

This keyboard fault, happens even when you boot from the Windows Setup CD ?
You may need to reset your Bios settings manually by removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard and then using a jumper to short the pins to do a BIOS Reset.

If this sounds too technical for you to do, the BIOS Reset procedure will be in your free Manual located online at your computer or motherboard manufacturer support webpage.

For further assistance on this please click on >> Adding System Specifications to your Profile
Also including the Computer manufacturer and Model number

Problem with this approach kimsland is quite often the default setting for BIOS Legacy USB is disabled which wouldn't help at all.

I've always found it handy to keep a PS/2 keyboard around just in case I need it.

Actually I also keep a PS/2 keyboard handy for this very reason as well ;)

But computers have had legacy USB enabled as default setting for some time now.
Hence the System Specs info is required

But surely suggesting using a PS/2 keyboard first before wiping out CMOS is a better first step. We don't know what other CMOS settings have been changed from default.

Agreed, system specs would be helpful.

I don't expect that everyone has 3 keyboards hanging around :D
    Especially older PS/2 wired keyboards.

But to cut a long story short, blackant, have you tried a PS/2 (not USB) connected keyboard?

Also can this thread Title be changed? (to keyboard fault)

OK, Possibly a damaged PS/2 port then...

Let's try the other approach, have/can you tried a USB one?

Still waiting for that motherboard model blackant it'll save making useless suggestions.
