I had a virus, but my Zonealarm got rid of it. Now, I cannot access the internet... get "IE cannot display the webpage" on everything EXCEPT secure (HTTPS) sites. Diags gives:

    HTTPS: Successfully connected to www.microsoft.com
    FTP(Passive): Successfully connected to www.microsoft.com
HTTP: Error 12029 connecting to www.microsoft.com: a connection to the server could not be established.

My daughters computer, which connects through the same router, works fine.

Also, when I go to Control Panel/Internet Connections, right click on my internet connection and chose Status, nothing happens... I get no status display. It almost seems like there is a file missing or something.
    Thoughts?

pccarehimanshu, ALL http sites fail. Https, FTP, and (I discovered this morning) email work OK.

Solved... my IT guy at work suggested I check the LAN settings (tools/internet options/connections/lan settings). Thr virus had set up a proxy server, I changed it to auto detect and problem went away. IT also suggested dumping temp files, history, and cookies.

    Thanks to all who replied.

There's a good chance you are still infected. Viri usually don't travel alone.

So, for your own good, post logs in the Malware forum.
