    Hi everyone
I would really appreciate an answer to this one. New Fujitsu laptop - 64-bit. No problems until today! Suddenly the wireless connection won't work. Diagnosis leads to 'Windows wireless service not running. I then traced it to error 1068. The WLAN autoconfig service apparently runs twice then stops. It has been fine until now. Can anyone advise?

If you have this error, it is likely that you have been infected by a virus such as "Bagle" or "Beagle ".
    To fix, follow these steps:
Go into the registry with regedit for this:
    Open the Registry Editor
Expand: HKEY Local Machine > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > Ndisuio
In this key there is an entry called "START ". This entry must be set to 3 for the NDIS E/S protocol to boot properly.
A virus as Beagle/ Bagle will change this value to 4 and causes the problem.

Restart your PC and everything should return to normal.

    Hello Vincent

I checked this entry and it reads 3.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hello

I am using Win-7 so I followed your Vista instructions. When I finally clicked on start for WLAN autoconfig it reported error 1068 again, saying the dependency service or group failed to start. This is exactly where I managed to get to prior to asking for help.

U can also try to check the drivers

    Also
I found one more resolution online
But before performing this step take registry backup

    The solution:

    1. Open regedit
    2. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ndisuio
    3. Change Start to "0x000000002 (2) "
    4. Restart

    Hello

I just that, and a restart. No effect at all (that I could see).

I have checked the drivers and internal self checks and all diagnostics show no problems. Except that 'the windows wireless service is (still) not running on the computer'.

Please edit your System Specs to indicate your OS - 64 bit is not enough.

Check out mine to see what I refer to.

    :)

    I have solved the problem!

I keep regular backups of my computers (OK, fairly regular) and I decided to try a system restore from a day or two before the problems hit. All is now well.
