Ok try this, start Internet Explorer with no add-ons to determine if its a 3rd party add-on thats causing Internet Explorer 7 to crash. To Start IE7 with no add-ons, click Start< All Programs< Accessories< System Tools< Internet Explorer (no Add-ons). Does IE7 crash now?

If IE7 doesn't crash then with IE7 open, click Tools< Internet Options< Programs Tab< Manage Add-ons button. Re-enable each add-on one by one while restarting IE7 each time until you determine which add-on is causing the problem.

If IE7 still crashes then click Start< Control Panel< Network and Internet Connections< Internet Options< Advanced Tab< Reset Button.

If that fails to get IE7 working again then I would try installing Internet Explorer 8 and see your issue is resolved.
