    I just recently bought Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for my brother for christmas. I put the disc in and it wont even read it, its like its not even in there. I go into my computer and nothing, it doesnt read it. I've tried updating my driver's for dvd/cd and i couldnt seem to find a link to update this one AXV-CD-DVD-ROM-SCSI but i updated the other which is weird becasue i only have one cd slot. My computer is relatively new, its got 3.0 ghz plus and all the specs needed to cover the game's need, but it wont read it.

    I would love some help on how to fix this problem, tyvm.

    Hi guyherd, Welcome to WindowsBBS :D

    Do other CD/DVD discs work?
    Have you testing the Game Disc in another system? No need to install just check to see if it can be read.

    Unless you have changed it you'll recieve an email when people resond to your posts.

    i ran the diagnostic and followed the instructions and it said this
    the drive is empty or the media format is not supported

    It said it fixed the problem, but it still exists, soo yeah i really dunno what's going on. "(

    sounds like a hardware issue but not drive issue.

    several items please confirm first

    1. the type of media drive -- CD or DVD drive?
    2. The disk type -- CD disk or dvd disk?
    3. Go to device manager to confirm if any abnormal information on your media drive?
    4. Try to re-install the CD drive in device manage

    How to:

    Run ---> type "regedit "
    Go to "HKEY_LM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11C E-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    Choose "upperfilter" and "loweverfilter ", delete them
    Close Regedit.exe, go back to device manager, try to scan your PC to find new hardware

    hope it's useful. Thanks

    Kyle
