I am working on a clients computer (windows xp pro sp2)
I get the following error when trying to install the .Net Framework 3.5.
I have tried uninstalling all .Net Framework and reinstalling versions 1.0 and 2.0 but nothing works. I have ran the clean tool for .net framework, renamed the assembly folder as specified in a similiar post on this website but still have a problem installing. Can anyone help?

Suite Integration toolkit executable has encountered an error
    "AppName: setup.exe AppVer: 9.0.21022.8 ModName: vsscenario.dll
    ModVer: 9.0.21022.8 Offset: 0003b403 "

Covered not that long ago (Admin why do we have a search if no one uses it ;))

Read this thread and let us know how you get on.

Whilst you're at it you may consider upgrading your client's computer to SP3

I did do a search on this site but did not see the post. I will try out what is suggested on that site. And maybe the SP3

I can not restore the windows back to a previous state before SP2 because there was no restore point.

    No problem wyobison,

My comment was tongue in cheek.I strongly advise the SP3 upgrade though. Please let us know how things go. :)

OK, try installing SP3 and once again my apologies your issue is different from the other thread.

Since this is not your computer you may be better asking your client before installing SP3. If he/she is not happy one solution seems to be reinstalling SP2.

I have spent all day messing around with this dang thing. I will do the SP3. I am sure that will probably fix it. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the fast replies.

It is a business computer. I am currently downloading SP3. I have to return the computer in the morning because they need it for business purpose. I will verify with them in the morning that they are OK with the SP3 upgrade

The SP3 worked. The framework failed at first. But had the computer install the update during the shutdown process. Thanks for your help.
